Installation at Fylde No 210
The Installation meeting of The Council on the Fylde No 201 brought no less than 3 Provincial Grand Masters together, R. W. Bro. Keith Beardmore, Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Degree, as the Master of the Council, R. W. Bro. Bill Seddon, District Grand Prefect of the Allied Degrees, who attended with his “Team” and R. Wy. Bro. Terry Maybury, the newly Installed Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of the Order of the Secret Monitor, as Master of Lawrence Council. The Masters of Garnet Council, W. Bro Geoff Bury and T.F.J. Council, W. Bro. John Torrance were also present.
Over 40 Allied Masons met at the quaint Market Town of Poulton Le Fylde, complete with stocks and a whipping post, on a wet Monday morning to see W. Bro. Keith Install Bro. Stan Hill as his successor, they were greeted with tea and biscuits before entering the Lodge room. After the Council was opened the District Grand Prefect and his Team were admitted, the gavel being offered and excepted the District Prefect introduced his District Officers, and then invited the Master to retake his chair.
What followed was an almost faultless ceremony of Installation, which proves the old adage if you want a good job done give it to a busy man and no one’s busier than Keith at the moment! The Council Officers were appointed and the new Master closed the Lodge in his own style with a beaming smile on his face, it’s going to be a very happy year.

The Festive Board at The Council on the Fylde is always a light lunch, today it was cottage pie and tea or coffee, the speeches were all complimentary and light hearted, all in keeping with the theme that Allied Masonry should be above all enjoyable.
By 1-45 pm everyone on their way home knew they had seen a splendid ceremony, had a good lunch but more importantly they had enjoyed the friendly company of many excellent Allied Masons.
